'm Carl Goodman — a product designer based in North Carolina with a UX/UI degree, a psychology minor, and a background in computer graphics. The mix matters: I'm equally interested in how interfaces feel and how people behave behind them.
My current focus is human–AI interaction. Designing products powered by language models and generative systems surfaces a new set of problems: outputs that aren't always right, confidence that needs to be communicated, errors that have to be handled gracefully, and the constant question of how much control to give the user versus the model. These are the design problems I want to spend this chapter of my career on.
Across mobile and web projects, I've worked on user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and design systems — solo and on teams. I work fast, take feedback well, and care about the small stuff.
